What is MFA

MFA stands for multi-factor authentication and basically means that you are using two different types of authentication to log into your account. There are three primary types of authentication factors:

Knowledge Factor

Something only you know (e.g. password).

Possession Factor

Something only you have (e.g. mobile phone w/ MFA app).

Inference Factor

Something only you are (e.g. biometrics).

Why Should You Use It

Enabling MFA may be the single most important thing you can do to protect against cyber attacks.
